March 2, 2010
New York-based broker dealer PrinceRidge has added three managing directors—John McNicholas, Valerie Red-Horse and Ron Zampolin—to its corporate finance team, the firm said Monday.
Red-Horse, most recently the owner of Red-Horse Financial Group, works on high yield bond transactions. In addition to the boutique investment bank she founded, which focused on gaming and Native American tribal finance, she was also the founder and CEO of Native Nations Securities/Red-Horse Securities. She started her career in the corporate finance and high yield bond groups of Drexel Burnham Lambert.
The cofounder of boutique advisory group Regian Capital Advisors, McNicholas' responsibilities at PrinceRidge include M&A, financial restructurings and leveraged transactions. Prior to Regian, he served as a managing director with JPMorgan, which he joined from The Blackstone Group. He also held positions with Merrill Lunch and Wertheim.
Zampolin, who also focuses on M&A, joins PrinceRidge from private equity firm Southfield Capital Advisors, where he was a partner. He also served with Credit Suisse and Kidder Peabody.
PrinceRidge was founded last July by former UBS hedge fund manager John Costas. It advises on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, amendments, consents and waivers, bond modifications, tenders and exchanges and arranging new financing. It covers secured, unsecured, subordinated, mezzanine and asset-based debt facilities.
