Knight Libertas Adds to Fixed Income Group

Knight Libertas, a subsidiary of Knight Capital Group, has added two staff members to its fixed income research group, the firm announced today.
Charles Mounts joins as a managing director in the firm's fixed income research group, where he will be responsible for coverage of the financial sector. Mounts was most recently co-head of fixed income, currencies and commodities research at UBS. He previously worked with Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch in research capacities and began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
In early January, Knight hired former UBS head of credit trading and research Sean Dowd as its co-head of U.S. credit sales (LFN, Jan. 11, 2010).
Christopher Recouso also joins the firm's fixed income research group, as a director focusing on emerging markets issuers and distressed debt. He was most recently a corporate restructuring advisor with Global China Holdings.
Knight Libertas is a fixed income broker-dealer that provides research, sales, trading and other capital markets services for various securities. It has offices in Jersey City, N.J. and Greenwich, Conn.
