Global Hunter Adds I-Banker to L.A. Office

Investment bank Global Hunter Securities has snagged a Jefferies banker for its recently opened Los Angeles office, the firm said today.
Matthew Brown joins as senior vice president and will focus on debt and equity capital raising, restructuring and distressed transactions.
Brown was most recently a vice president of investment banking at Jefferies, where he focused on underwriting high yield bond and bank debt financings for middle-market companies and financial sponsors. Previously, he worked as a vice president of corporate finance at Imperial Capital, and before that he focused on M&A and growth financing at Montgomery & Co.
Global Hunter Securities focuses on middle-market corporations and institutions. It has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, New Orleans, Newport Beach, Va. and Hong Kong. It recently expanded its research team and named Ravi Kamath as head of fixed income research (LFN, Jan. 12, 2010).
