UBS Names New Joint Head Of Fixed Income

UBS has appointed Jeffrey Mayer joint global head of fixed income, currencies and commodities, the bank said today. He joins Carsten Kengeter in overseeing all fixed income products including credit fixed income, structured products, commodities and foreign exchange. Mayer will be based in New York and report to UBS Investment Bank Chairman and CEO Jerker Johansson.  

 

Mayer was most recently global co-head of fixed income with Bear Stearns, as well as a member of the defunct firm’s management committee and board of directors. He began his career at Bear Stearns as a mortgage trader and went on to head the firm’s mortgage- and asset-backed securities department.
