UBS Bulks Up Distressed Team

In an effort to boost its presence in the distressed area, UBS has added four professionals to its distressed team, LeveragedFinanceNews.com has confirmed.
Dave Ricciardi, formerly with KBC, joined the bank as a trader; Paul Deen, previously with Bear Stearns, joined the distressed sales team; Tom Howard, formerly with the hedge fund Par IV, joined as an analyst; and Mike Nitka, previously in distressed sales at Credit Suisse, joined as a distressed sourcer.
Howard reports to Jim Trefry, who runs distressed research; Ricciardi reports to Jeff Teach who runs leveraged finance trading; and Deen and Nitka report to Brendan Dillon, co-head of Credit Trading for the U.S.
